GSMS Joins Lennox in Spreading Warmth Through the “Feel the Love” Program
This fall, the GSMS team proudly joined Lennox for their annual Feel the Love program. This nationwide initiative donates complete heating and cooling systems to deserving individuals who make a difference in their communities. This year, our team had the privilege of installing a brand-new Lennox system for a local public figure whose selfless work continues to empower young women and strengthen our community.
Out of respect for her privacy following recent safety concerns surrounding her nonprofit, her name and organization will remain confidential—but her story, spirit, and gratitude truly define the meaning of this program.
It was a gorgeous, sunny fall day when our team arrived, dressed in red to honor the Feel the Love program. Zak added a pop of pink in support of our Men Wear Pink campaign for breast cancer awareness. We started the morning with breakfast catered by “You’ll Eat It and Like It,” courtesy of our recipient, who went above and beyond to make our crew feel appreciated. She even treated everyone to lunch later in the day, saying, “I had to be sure they were taken care of—it’s the least I could do!”
Karl, our Lennox Territory Manager, joined us for the day, helping install the new system and celebrating the spirit of giving alongside our GSMS team. It was a true community effort—one filled with smiles, teamwork, and heartfelt gratitude.
“It was extremely overwhelming to be acknowledged through this program,” she shared. “I think my dedication to this work is to be sure girls understand their worth despite the negative forces that want them to believe otherwise. Empowering girls to believe in themselves and their potential empowers everyone involved in the process.”
For over three decades, she heated her home with wood—an exhausting but necessary choice given the limited resources often faced in the nonprofit world. “Those of us who dedicate our lives to others don’t often put in adequate effort to take care of ourselves,” she said. “I’ve heated with wood for thirty-one years, and picking up a tiny remote control to turn on the heat instead of hauling firewood frees up much-needed time for the important work of empowering others.”
While the GSMS crew worked hard to install her new Lennox system, Gina took on a special side task—bunny duty! The recipient’s beloved rabbits needed a little extra care during the installation, and as a fellow bunny lover, Gina was thrilled to help.
At the end of the day, what stood out most wasn’t just the new system, but the shared feeling of connection. “The GSMS team was incredibly professional and understanding of my living situation,” she said. “They accommodated on every level. This system makes my life much easier, which allows me to be more available for the important work that we all do. Thank you for being so supportive—it means more than I can put into words.”
