We Love Local May Spotlight: Barrington Peeper 5K & Mutt Strutt
For May’s We Love Local, the GSMS team geared up to support two incredible community events: the Barrington Peeper 5K and the Mutt Strutt hosted by the Manchester Animal Shelter. Both events celebrate the spirit of giving back—rain or shine!
The Barrington Peeper 5K, now coordinated by the Greater Barrington Community Foundation, has come a long way from its whimsical beginnings in the 1990s as a frog race. Today, it’s a cherished tradition that raises scholarship funds for local high school seniors, awarding four scholarships each year. We were proud to lace up and be part of such a meaningful cause. While rainy weather kept us from attending the Mutt Strutt in person, the Manchester Animal Shelter still made the most of the day—fundraising, connecting with the community, and spreading love for our furry friends.
