October’s We Love Local: Supporting the Men Wear Pink Campaign
October’s We Love Local had our team proudly supporting the Men Wear Pink campaign for the second year in a row! Thanks to the generosity of our vendors and our own contribution of $500, we were able to raise a total of $1,263.75 to help fund breast cancer research, patient programs, and community resources — all in support of men facing breast cancer. Zak even served as this year’s Men Wear Pink ambassador, leading the charge with pride and purpose.
This initiative is especially meaningful for Gina, as breast cancer has impacted her family for generations — her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother have all been affected. Supporting this cause allows GSMS to honor their strength and stand in solidarity with everyone facing this disease.
In true GSMS fashion, we wore pink every Wednesday throughout October — because as Mean Girls would say, “On Wednesdays, we wear pink!” — showing that breast cancer awareness isn’t just for women. Every step, every donation, and every pink shirt made a statement of hope and support.
We’re so grateful to everyone who helped us make an impact this October. If you’d like to support the Men Wear Pink campaign and help fund lifesaving research and programs, donations can be made directly through the American Cancer Society.
