We Heart Local February Spotlight: Supporting James and His Mission
At GSMS, our We Love Local initiative is all about supporting the people and causes that make a difference in our community. This month, we’re honored to support James Covey as he trains to run the 2025 Boston Marathon in support of the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS).
James is no stranger to this challenge—he ran the Boston Marathon in 2023 and is lacing up his running shoes again, determined to raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research. His dedication to the cause and his commitment to making an impact are truly inspiring.
Last Friday, James held the 2025 Covey Run Benefit, an event designed to raise funds and awareness for NBTS. GSMS was proud to contribute to his fundraising efforts by presenting a donation check to help him reach his goal.
Brain tumors affect thousands of families each year, and organizations like NBTS play a vital role in funding research, providing resources, and advocating for those impacted. Supporting James in his mission is just one way we can give back and stand with those who need it most.
James will take on 26.2 miles this April, running not just for himself, but for every individual and family affected by brain tumors. We’re cheering him on all the way to the finish line!
