April’s We Love Local: Don’t Trash Barrington
For this month’s We Love Local, the GSMS team was proud to once again support a cause that’s all about community pride—joining the incredible volunteer group Don't Trash Barrington for another round of litter clean-up.
After such a great experience last year, we knew this was something we wanted to be part of again. And it didn’t disappoint! We were so happy to see some familiar faces, including Deb, who leads this amazing group, along with the one and only “Trash Lady” Lisa—and of course, her hardworking litter pup, Rusty, who might just be the real MVP of the day.
There’s something really special about an event like this. It’s simple, it’s impactful, and it brings people together for a shared purpose—taking pride in the place we live. Whether it’s a roadside, a neighborhood, or a local park, every piece of litter picked up makes a difference.
At GSMS, we believe that giving back doesn’t always have to be big to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s just about showing up, lending a hand, and being part of something that makes your community a little brighter.
We encourage everyone to get involved—whether that means joining a local clean-up group like Don’t Trash Barrington, following along on Facebook, checking out “Trash Lady” Lisa’s page, or simply picking up litter in your own neighborhood. Small actions truly add up.

Together, we can all do our part to make the places we live, work, and raise our families cleaner, safer, and even more beautiful.
