Staying great at what we do means never standing still. So when the annual FW Webb Company trade show came around, our Specialists headed to McIntyre Ski Area for an evening of hands-on learning, new product demos, and a whole lot of catching up with the people who keep our industry moving.
Why we make it a team night
For us, a trade show is more than a chance to see the latest tools and equipment. It is about relationships. Zak Downing, owner of GSMS, has the whole team attend for exactly that reason.
The way he sees it, these events are an opportunity to put a face to a name, trade phone numbers, and start real relationships with suppliers and reps. That matters more than people might think. When one of our Specialists is out in the field on a tough call at seven o'clock at night, it makes all the difference to be able to reach someone who knows them by name, not just a no-name number calling for help. Those connections are what let us take great care of our Clients when it counts.
Getting hands-on with what is new
The other half of the value is simply seeing what is out there. We always try to stay on the forefront of new products and technology, and you cannot do that if you do not know what is coming. The FW Webb event gave our team the chance to get hands-on with new products, learn about the latest developments in the trade, and come home with knowledge we can put straight to work in your home.
And yes, there was fun too
We would be leaving out the best part if we did not mention the rest of the evening. Between the learning, there were ski rides, axe throwing, virtual golf, and an all-you-can-eat buffet. We are not saying that was the highlight of the night. But we are not saying it wasn't, either.
A big thank you to FW Webb for putting on another excellent event. Nights like this are part of how we keep raising the bar for the heating, air, and plumbing services we bring to homes across New Hampshire.
