Project Overview Proactively replace the failing existing furnace with a new Lennox Elite Series (EL296V) Two-Stage Gas Furnace. This option retains your existing air conditioning equipment and provides a reliable, high-efficiency heating upgrade with a completely refreshed standard zoning system. Scope of Work 1. Equipment & Ductwork Furnace: Install one (1) Lennox EL296V Two-Stage Gas Furnace. Coil Adaptation: Fabricate custom sheet metal transitions to adapt the new furnace to your existing indoor A-coil. Filtration: The existing return drop and Air Bear media cabinet are in excellent condition and will be retained. 2. Gas, Venting & Drainage Gas Piping: Remove the existing CSST flexible gas drop and pipe in a new solid black iron gas drop to the furnace for enhanced safety and durability. Venting: Remove the existing concentric vent. Install a new 2-pipe PVC intake and exhaust venting system. Condensate: Reconnect to the existing condensate drain line routed to the exteri

The service was really good. He did great work.
New hot and cold copper manifolds were installed to replace the problematic polybutylene valves. New main water ball valve shut off installed and corroded piece of copper and rusty hanger replaced. Tested for leaks. Thank you!
Repair piping in closet that rodents chewed. Replace 2 valves under sink. We will quote to repair main shutoff valve and replace the hot and cold manifolds.

I started off with washing the outside unit with coil cleaner and water. I checked the electrical connections and everything looked good. Inside and I flushed the trap with cleaner. I then replaced the air filter and UV bulb. I checked electrical connections and everything looked good. Lastly, I ran the unit and checked the pressures and the unit was running great.
System was low on charge. I added about 1 pound of R 22 refrigerant. At the end, I was getting a 20° temp split with 43° supply air.
A plus job ! Would recommend to others
Replace existing water softener with our new WaterSoft water softener. We will also clean up piping around the water softener to re-work as needed for the new system.
I removed the old burner tubes and replaced them with new ones. After assembling it all back together, I used soapy bubble as a gas detector and found no leaks. I checked the incoming manifold pressure and it was 12 inches water column. I checked outgoing gas pressure and it was 10 inches water column on high fire and low fire was 4.8 inches water column. I cycled the unit five times to make sure everything operated correctly. Lastly, I checked the combustion for the high and the low fire. I added the combustion data with pictures to the job. I went over and I double checked all the joints that I loosened with soapy bubbles and once again found no leaks. Mark came in the beginning and replaced the expansion tank on the water heater.

Everything went great with your Lennox propane furnace maintenance. I would recommend replacing the burners as they are pretty corroded and I noticed when the furnace flame lit off it was a rough start. We also noticed that the expansion tank on the water heater is failed.
